This is a very busy weekend in the Las Vegas area. We strongly suggest reserving a hotel room early.

The Bonnie Springs Motel is located in the “town” of Bonnie Springs, within minutes of Spring Mountain State Park and Red Rock Canyon. They have agreed to block 29 rooms for RRR participants at a 10% discount, with rooms starting at $63 per night. This is a fun, rustic experience, with lots of “theme” rooms, plus a coffee shop and lots of entertainment on the grounds. You will need to reference the Red Rock Rendezvous when making the reservation.

The Holiday Inn Express is located approximately 14 miles from Spring Mountain State Park. They have agreed to block 20 rooms for RRR participants at a discounted rate, with rooms starting at $129 per night. Free breakfast every morning is included. You will need to reference group code RRG when making the reservation. Please check with them when making reservations regarding early departure penalties. They will only be able to hold the rooms until February 15th.

Camping Information

The $15 camping fee will include a spot at the Bonnie Springs. The cost covers all nights during your stay (3/19/09 - 3/21/09).

Bonnie Springs is located 16 miles west of Las Vegas on Charleston Blvd. in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

You are responsible for knowing and following campground rules and regulations:

  • NO Pets
  • Obey all signs
  • Observe closed areas
  • Campground speed limit: 10 mph
  • Quiet hours are from 10 pm until 6 am (the use of generators and radios prohibited during this time)
  • Please dispose of litter properly. Use the trash cans provided.

Alternative camping is also available on the Lovell Canyon Rd in the Humbolt-Toiyabe National Forest. There are no developed campgrounds on the road, dispersed camping is permitted. Driving directions: Take SR 159 (W. Charleston Blvd) south past Blue Diamond. At the junction of SR 160 (about 10 miles) turn right heading west toward Pahrump. About 12 miles you will go over the Mountain Springs summit then come to the turnoff to Lovell Canyon on the right side (north side) of SR 160. The area is National Forest although there are a few parcels of private property.
